NOTE: At this point, the push-bolt can be removed 4Rotate the V-belt and clutches until the V-belt is flush with the top of the driven clutch5Place the V-belt cover gasket into position; then install the cover and secure with the cap screws making sure the different-lengthed cap screws are in their proper locationTighten the cap screws to ft-lb (400500H1 Models) or ft-lb (700 EFI)
INSTALLING 1Spread the faces of the driven clutch by pushing the inner face toward the engine while turning it counterclockwise (400500700 EFI) or threading in push-bolt (H1 Models); then when the faces are separated, insert the belt and push down between the faces2Place the V-belt into position over the front shaftCD083
NOTE: Make sure the main engine ground wire is installed and secured in the proper location
6Secure the front fender to the footrest with the two cap screwsTighten securely7Install the right-side footrest (see Section 8)
