5Install the knuckle assembly onto the ball joints and secure with cap screwsTighten to 35 ft-lb6Apply grease to the hub and drive axle splines; then install the hub assembly onto the drive axle7Secure the hub assembly with the nutTighten only until snug8Secure the brake caliper to the knuckle with the two patch-lock cap screwsTighten to 20 ft-lb9Secure the hub nut (from step 7) to the shaftaxleTighten to 200 ft-lbKC297
8Remove the lower shock absorber eyelet from the upper A-arm9Remove the cap screws securing the A-arms to the frame10Remove the circlip from the ball joint; then remove the ball joint from the A-armCLEANING AND INSPECTING
NOTE: Whenever part is worn excessively, cracked, or damaged in any way, replacement is necessary
10Install new cotter pin and spread the pin to secure the nut11Install the wheel and tighten to 40 ft-lb12Remove the ATV from the support stand
