NOTE: If boot is damaged in any way, it must be replaced with boot kit 3Inspect the gear case seals for nicks or damageDISASSEMBLING AXLES 1Using side-cutters (or suitable substitute), remove the large clamp from the boot
9Place drain pan under the ATV to contain any oil leakage; then using slide hammer, remove the drive axle
2Wipe away excess grease to access the retaining ringUsing an awl, remove the circlip
