When disassembling the countershaft, care must be taken to note the direction each major component (dog, gear) facesIf major component is installed facing the wrong direction, transmission damage may occur andor the transmission will malfunctionIn either case, complete disassembly and assembly will be required
Disassembling 1Remove the reverse driven gear dog; then remove the circlip securing the reverse driven gear2Remove the reverse driven gear and account for the washer, bushing, and bearing3Remove the low driven gear washer; then remove the low driven gearAccount for the bushing and bearing4Remove the washer; then remove the circlip securing the sliding dogRemove the sliding dog
