INSTALLING
1Raise the swing-arm and place the shock absorber in position; then install the upper and lower cap screws and nuts2Tighten the upper nut and the lower nut to specifications3Install the rear swing arm skid plate and four cap screwsTighten securelyADJUSTING SPRING PRELOAD
2Remove the rear wheels; then remove the rear hub caps and hub nutsDiscard the cotter pins3Remove the rear axle assembly (see Section 6); then remove the rear shock absorber4Remove the cushion arm lock nut and cap screw; then remove the lock nut and cap screw securing the cushion arm link to the swing armRemove the cushion armlink assemblyAccount for three bushings
The rear spring preload is adjustable by changing the spring set lengthUsing the following procedure, adjust the spring1Loosen the lock nut (1)Adjust the spring preload by turning the adjuster (2) clockwise to increase spring preload or counterclockwise to decrease spring preload
