! CAUTION
Always disconnect the battery when performing resistance tests to avoid damaging the multimeter

1Set the meter selector to the OHMS position2Connect the red tester lead to the brownblue wire; then connect the black tester lead to the greenyellow wire3When the brake pedal is depressed, the meter must show less than ohmNOTE: If the meter shows more than ohm of resistance, replace the switch
NOTE: The brake lever must be compressed for this testAlso, the ignition switch must be in the OFF position
1Set the meter selector to the OHMS position2Connect the red tester lead to one spade terminal; then connect the black tester lead to the other spade terminal3When the lever is compressed, the meter must show less than ohmNOTE: If the meter shows more than ohm of resistance, replace the switch
