19Loosely secure the secondary driven bevel gear assembly using the four cap screws; then using crisscross pattern, tighten the cap screws until fully seated in the transmission housingTighten to specifications
Joining Crankcase Halves
1Verify that the alignment pins and new gasket are in place and that both case halves are clean and grease freePlace the right-side half onto the left-side half2Using plastic mallet, lightly tap the case halves together until cap screws can be installed3From the right side, install the crankcase cap screws noting the location of the different-sized cap screws; then tighten only until snug
