4Remove the red tester lead from spade terminal and connect it to spade terminal BThe meter should read 4.5-5.5 DC voltsH NOTE: If the meter does not read as specified, check for poor connections at the ECU or openlbroken wires in the wiring harness H NOTE: If any meter reading is not as specified, replace or adjust the TPS (see INSTALLINGIADJUSTING in this sub-section)
7Connect the positive lead to the battery; then connect the negative lead
- make sure the ignition switch is in the OFF Always
position before disconnecting the ECU
8Connect the main harness TPS connector to the TPS; then using Maxiclips (pln 0744-041), connect the black tester lead to the greenlblack wire
5Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position; then disconnect the battery (negative cable first)
Always disconnect the battery when performing resistance tests to avoid damaging the multimeter
6Select the OHMS position on the meter; then perform the following resistance tests on the TPS
