4Remove the inside circlip
7Remove the cap screws securing the left-side cover to the crankcase and note the location of the long cap screw with rubber washer
5Remove the two cap screws securing the speed sensor housing; then remove the housingAccount for the gasket
8Using Side Case Puller (pln 0644-2621, remove the side coverAccount for gasket, two alignment pins, and an idle gear limiter bushing1 NOTE: Inspect the inside of the left-side cover for the four shaft washers that may have come off with the coverThe three gear shaft washers are identical and interchangeableThe shift shaft washer is larger diameterKeep the washers with their respective shafts for installing purposes
