4Using an appropriate crankcase separator and tapping lightly with rubber mallet, separate the crankcase halvesAccount for two alignment pins, C-ring, and two washersI NOTE: To keep the shaftlgear assemblies intact for identification, tap the shafts toward the left-side crankcase half when separating the halves
