4Connect the APS to the harness; then using MaxiClips (pn 0744-041), connect the red tester lead to the brownwhite wire and the black tester lead to the blackgreen wireWith the engine running at idle speed, the meter should read approximately 2.6 DC voltsNOTE: If the meter does not read as specified, check the hose connecting the APS to the intake pipe or replace the sensor 4The meter must show DC volts (500 auto650 H1700 EFI) or 12 DC volts (400500 manual)5Leave the black tester lead connected; then connect the red tester lead to the signal lead (S) pin6Slowly move the ATV forward or backward; the meter must show and DC volts alternately (500 auto650 H1700 EFI) or and 12 DC volts alternately (400500 manual)NOTE: If the sensor tests are within specifications, the speedometer must be replacedSee Section 9
