Oil Temperature and Cooling Fan Switches (400)
NOTE: This model has an oil temperature switch and cooling fan switch
1Connect the meter leads (selector in the OHMS position) to the switch contactsAR622D
3The meter must show battery voltageNOTE: If the meter shows no battery voltage, troubleshoot the battery, fuse, switch, or the main wiring harnessNOTE: If the meter shows battery voltage, the main wiring harness is good; proceed to test the switchcomponent, the connector, and the switch wiring harness for resistance
2Suspend the switch and thermometer in container of oil; then heat the oilNOTE: Neither the switch nor the thermometer should be allowed to touch the bottom of the container or inaccurate readings will occurUse wire holders to suspend switch and thermometer

! CAUTION
Always disconnect the battery when performing resistance tests to avoid damaging the multimeter
