EWhile holding the valve adjuster handle in place, rotate the valve adjuster dial counterclockwise until specified valvetappet clearance is attainedNOTE: Rotating the valve adjuster dial counterclockwise will open the valvetappet clearance by 0.05 mm (0.002 in per mark FWhile holding the adjuster dial at the proper clearance setting, tighten the jam nut securely with the valve adjuster handle
30Place the two tappet covers into position; then install and tighten the cap screws securely
3Raise the rear of the engine and place block under it; then install the propeller shaft and output flange into the rear drive coupler
31If removed, install the spark plug and tighten to specificationsCD821
