9Remove the A-arm
2Secure the shock absorber to the A-arm with the cap screw and self-locking nutTighten the nut to specifications
! CAUTION
Do not tighten the nut beyond the 4.0 kg-m (29 ft-lb) specification or the shock eyelet or mount WILL be damaged

CLEANING AND INSPECTING
NOTE: Whenever part is worn excessively, cracked, or damaged in any way, replacement is necessary
1Clean all A-arm components in parts-cleaning solvent2Clean the tie rod mounting holes of all residual Loctite, grease, oil, or dirt for installing purposes3Inspect the A-arm for bends, cracks, and worn bushings4Inspect the tie rod mounting holes for cracks or damage5Inspect the frame mounts for signs of damage or wearINSTALLING
