2Connect the red tester lead to the blueyellow wire; then connect the black tester lead to the green wire3With the switch in the OFF position, the meter must read an open circuit4With the switch in the RUN position, the meter must read less than ohmNOTE: If the meter reads more than ohm of resistance, troubleshoot or replace the switchcomponent, the connector, or the switch wiring harness 2Check the timing sensor for broken wires or signs of damageINSTALLING
1Install the timing sensor and stator onto the stator plateSecure with cap screws lightly coated with red Loctite #271Tighten securely2Install the flywheel (see Section 3)

NOTE: The starter motor is not serviceable componentIf the motor is defective, it must be replaced
