28Remove the 14 mm nut securing the countershaft sprocket to the countershaftNOTE: When removing the countershaft sprocket with the engine out of the frame, it will be necessary to hold the sprocket in vise or in another suitable holding deviceAccount for the washer and spacer
30Remove the transmission case cover and gears as unitDiscard the gasketNote the location of two longer cap screws and two alignment pins for assembling purposes
