5Tighten the jam nut to secure the adjustment; then slide the rubber boot back into position Adjusting Engine RPM
To properly adjust the idle RPM, tachometer is necessaryTo adjust idle RPM, use the following procedure1Set the brake lever locksStart the engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature2Turn the idle adjustment screw in or out until the engine idles at the recommended RPMKM039A

3Remove the drain plug from the bottom of the transmission and drain the lubricant into drain pan

4Install the drain plug and tighten to specificationsPour the recommended lubricant in the filllevel holeInstall the filllevel plug5Start the engine (while the ATV is outside on level ground) and drive it short distance6Turn the engine off and wait approximately one minuteRemove the filllevel plug and recheck the lubricant levelThe level should be visible at the level holeIf lubricant is not visible, add recommended lubricant until the level is visible at the level hole7Inspect the area around the drain plug for leaks
