Do not adjust the spring preload out of the specified range
1Raise the swing-arm and place the shock absorber in position; then install the upper and lower cap screws and nuts2Tighten the upper nut (1) and the lower nut (2) to specifications
3Tighten the lock nut securelyADJUSTING DAMPING FORCE
3Install the rear arm lower cap screw and nut; then tighten the nut to specificationsADJUSTING SPRING PRELOAD
The compression and rebound damping forces are adjustableTo adjust, use the following procedureNOTE: Do not force the damping adjuster screws or tighten them; damage to the adjusters will occurNOTE: Turning the adjuster screws clockwise increases force; turning them counterclockwise decreases force
