RegulatorRectifier The regulatorrectifier is located under the left rear fender on the upper frame railNOTE: Before replacing the regulatorrectifier, perform the following checks
2Disconnect the two-wire plug connector from the appropriate bulb; then select the DC Voltage position on the multimeter3Connect the black tester lead to the black wire; then connect the red tester lead to the white wire (high beam) or the yellow wire (low beam)4The meter should show 12 DC voltsNOTE: If the meter shows 12 DC volts, replace the bulbIf the meter shows volts, check the headlight harness adapter
1Clean and tighten all battery connections; then clean and inspect the three-wire connector from the magneto charging coil

The connector is the 3-prong one located under the rear body assemblyBULB VERIFICATION
NOTE: Perform this test on the taillight-brakelight side of the connectorAlso, 12-volt external power supply (jumper) will be neededSP084A
