Servicing Center Crankcase Components NOTE: Whenever part is worn excessively, cracked, damaged in any way, or out of tolerance, replacement is necessary
CRANKCASE (Cleaning and Inspecting)

1Remove the oil sump filter and clean using compressed air; then align the oil passage holes and install the sump filter

4Wash the bearings with solvent and lubricate them with clean engine oil; then rotate the bearings by handIf the bearings do not rotate smoothly and quietly, they must be replacedCheck for excessive radial and lateral play
