i NOTE: The battery must be at full charge for these tests 3Crank the engine over using the electric starter
4The meter reading must be within specificationMagneto Coil (Trigger)
1Set the meter selector to the DC Voltage position2Connect the red tester lead to the green wire; then connect the black tester lead to the blue wire3Crank the engine over using the electric starter

4The meter reading must be within specificationMagneto Coil (Source)
1Set the meter selector to the DC Voltage position2Connect the red tester lead to the positive battery post; then connect the black tester lead to the negative battery post3With the engine running at constant 5000 RPM (with the headlights on), the meter must show 14-15 DC volts
1Set the meter selector to the DC Voltage position
2Connect the red tester lead to the yellow wire;
then connect the black tester lead to the white wire
3Crank the engine over using the electric starter
A CAUTION
Do not run the engine at high RPM for more than 10 seconds1 NOTE: If voltage is lower than specified, test stator coilno load
