INSTALLING
REMOVING

1Place the gas tank into position on the frame; then install the two cap screwsTighten securely2Connect the gas hose from the carburetor; then secure hose to cables and hoses with cable tie3Install the air cleaner housing cover
1Remove the seat2Remove the rear rack and fenders (see Section 8)3Disconnect the hose(s) from the fuel pump to the carburetor(s)
4Install the vent hose; then fill the gas tank with gasoline
4Remove the cap screws securing the gas tank to the frame
5Turn the gas tank valve to the ON position and inspect for leakage6Install the seat
5Disconnect the fuel gauge connector; then remove the gas tankCLEANING AND INSPECTING
1 NOTE: Whenever part is worn excessively, cracked, or damaged in any way, replacement is necessary

1Clean all gas tank components with parts-cleaning solvent2Inspect all hoses for cracks or leaks3Inspect tank cap and tank for leaks, holes, and damaged threadsINSTALLING

1Place the gas tank into position in the frame; then install the cap screwsTighten securely2Connect the gas hose(s) from the carburetor(s); then connect the fuel gauge connector
