7From the left side, install the eight case half 6 mm cap screws; then tighten only until snugiNOTE: Rotate the shafts back and forth to ensure no binding or sticking occurs

9In crisscrosscase-to-casepattern, tighten the mm cap screws (from steps 5-6) until the halves are correctly joined; then tighten to specifications
3Using propane torch, heat the right-side crankshaft bearing until the oil begins to smoke; then join the two crankcase halvesiNOTE: Rotate the shafts back and forth to ensure no binding or sticking occurs
