=NOTE: There is an oil passage beneath the driven gearldrive gear assemblyThis passage should be plugged prior to removing the driven gear and drive gearFailure to do so could result in the loss of an alignment pin into the crankcase
11Remove the two starter gears from the crankcase noting the direction of the beveled side of the gears for installing purposes; then remove the two starter gear shafts
13Remove the snap ring securing the water pump drive gear; then remove the gear noting the direction of the sides of the gear for installing purposesAccount for the drive gear alignment pin
