1Insert snap gauge into the upper connecting rod small end bore; then remove the gauge and measure it with micrometer

1Using calipers, measure the width of the connecting rod at the big-end bearing2Maximum diameter must not exceed specificationsMeasuring Connecting Rod (Small End Deflection)

1Place the crankshaft on set of blocks2Mount dial indicator and base on the surface platePosition the indicator contact at point of the crankshaft
1Place the crankshaft on set of V-blocks and mount dial indicator and base on the surface platePosition the indicator contact point against the center of the connecting rod small end journal
