7Install the shaft, spring, and the spring cover 10With the 50 cm (20 in of rope exposed, hook the rope in the notch of the reel11Rotate the reel four turns counterclockwise; then release the rope from the notch and allow the rope to retract12Pull the rope out two or three times to check for correct tensioni NOTE: Increasing the rotations in step 11 will increase spring tension
13Place the recoil starter assembly into position on the left-side cover; then tighten the cap screws to specifications
