For servicing the input shaft, pinion gear, needle bearing, and axle seal on FIS models, see Front Differential (FIS Models) in this section
3Remove the nut securing the hubAccount for washer and hub seal
INSTALLING
1Slide the gear case into position through the left side of the frame; then secure it to the frame with cap screws and lock nutsTighten to 4.3-5.3 kg-m (3 1-38 ft-lb)I NOTE: If new gear housing is being installed, tighten the cap screws to 5.1-6.3 kg-m (37-45.5 ft-lb)
2Secure the engine output shaft to the rear gear case input flange with three cap screws (coated with red octite #271) and lock nutsTighten to 4.8 kg-m (35 ft-lb)
4Remove the brake caliper
3Install the rear drive axles (see Drive Axles in this section)
