5Place the gear shift cam plate and guide onto the gear shift cam making sure the alignment pin was installedSecure assembly with the cap screw coated with blue Loctite #243Tighten securely
7Install the gear shift shaft

I NOTE: Steps 1-7 in the preceding sub-section must precede this procedure
8Install the spacer, pin, and oil pump drive gear onto the crank balancer shaft making sure the shoulder of the drive gear is facing inward toward the crankcase; then secure with the washer and nut (threads coated with red Loctite #27 1) tightened to kg-m (58 ft-lb)
