2Position the dial indicator contact point on the outside edge of the valve face; then zero the indicator 3If valve guide is out of tolerance, it must be replacedReplacing Valve Guide
IIf valve guide is worn or damaged, it must be replaced
1If valve guide needs replacing, insert valve guide remover into the valve seat side of the valve guideUsing hammer, gently drive the valve guide out of the cylinder head
3Rotate the valve in the blocks
4Maximum runout must not exceed specifications

Mount dial indicator and base on the surface plate; then place the cylinder head on the surface plateInstall the valve into the cylinder head: then position the dial indicator contact point against the outside edge of the valve faceZero the indicator
