9Remove the rear fenders and the rear rack (see Section 8) 10Remove the hardware securing both footrests to the frame and front fender
13Remove the pinch screw and lock nut securing the gear shift lever; then remove the gear shift lever from the shaft on the engine
11Remove the two cap screws securing the exhaust pipe to the engine; then loosen the exhaust pipe from the muffler at the juncture in front of the muffler
