7Install the oil filter drain plug and tighten securely8Install the engine drain plug and tighten to 2.2 kg-m (16 ft-lb)Pour 3.08 (3.25 U.Sqt)400, 3.4L (3.5 U.Sqt)500manua1, or2.5 (2.6U.Sqt)500 automatic of the recommended oil in the filler holeInstall the oil level sticklfiller plug
Automatic Transmission

Any oil used in place of the recommended oil could cause serious engine damageDo not use oils which contain graphite or molybdenum additivesThese oils can adversely affect clutch operationAlso, not recommended are racing, vegetable, non-detergent, and castor-based oils
9Start the engine (while the ATV is outside on level ground) andalloiv it to idle for few minutes
10Turn the engine off and wait approximately one minute11Unscrew the oil level stick and wipe it with clean cloth12Install the oil level stick until the threads touch engine caseI NOTE: The oil level stick should not be threaded into the case for checking the oil level
3Remove the drain plug from the bottom of the engine and drain the oil into drain pan
