2Install the needle adapters (E) to the multimeter leads; then select D.CVoltage on the multimeter (D)3Connect the red tester lead to the yellowgreen wire terminal (F) and the black tester lead blackyellow wire terminal (G); then turn the ignition switch ON and with the tilt sensor (A) held with the UP arrow as shown (B), observe the meterThe meter should read 0.4-1.4 D.Cvolts ATV2148
2Turn the ignition switch to the ON positionThe multimeter should read battery voltageIf battery voltage is not indicated, check the 30-amp fuse, wiring harness, or the ignition switch3Remove the red tester lead and connect to the blue wire terminal (E)The multimeter should read 5.0 D.CvoltsIf the specified voltage is not indicated, check the CDI unit
