100-Hour Belt Inspection Mode Clearing Every 100 hours, the belt indicator light will illuminate to alert for inspectionSee SectionCheckingReplacing V-BeltTo reset the belt indicator light use the following procedure
! WARNING
V-belt inspection must be conducted in accordance with Section 2Belt separation and lock-up could cause severe injury or death
! CAUTION
Always disconnect the battery when performing resistance tests to avoid damaging the multimeter
1Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position; then disconnect the 4-pin connector2Connect the Reset Connector (pn 0486-161) into the forward 4-pin connector; then turn the ignition switch to the ON positionThe belt indicator light should flash rapidly3Disconnect the belt indicator light switch connectorThe light should flash slowlyAllow the light to flash for 10 seconds before turning the ignition switch off4Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position; then remove the reset connector5Connect the 4-pin connector and the belt indicator light switch connector; then turn the ignition switch to the ON positionThe belt indicator light should go off
