2Place the shift-indicator sending unit into position making sure the neutral contact and spring are inside the case and well-oiled O-ring is properly positionedSecure with Phillips-head screws
4Place the bushing onto the output shaft; then install the driven gear and washer
5Install the spacer onto the driveshaft
3Install the starter idle gear pin into the crankcase; then with the beveled side of the idle gear facing the crankcase, install the idle gear
