HSubtract the driven ouput shaft bearing race height from the driven ouput shaft bearing housing cover height; then record the measurementIThe difference between the measurement recorded in step and the measurement recorded in step determines the size of the shim to useNOTE: As an example, if the final driven bevel gear depth measurement (from step C) is 0.195 inand the final driven output shaft bearing race height measurement (from step H) is 0.158 in the difference is 0.037 inand an 0.020 inshim and an 0.016 inshim must be used to bring the clearance within tolerance
