3With the engine running at constant 5000 RPM, all three black wire tests must show 60 A.Cvolts ! CAUTION
Do not run the engine at high RPM for more than 10 secondsNOTE: If both charging coil tests failed, check all connections, etc and test againIf no voltage is present, replace the stator assemblyRESISTANCE (Charging Coils)

3On the 400500 cc, connect the red tester lead to the green wire; then connect the black tester lead to the blue wireThe meter must show 150-300 ohms on the 400 cc, 170-250 ohms on the 500 cc (manual transmission), or 160-240 ohms on the 500 cc (automatic transmission)RESISTANCE (SourceCharge Coil 400500 cc)

1Set the meter selector to the OHMS position2Connect the red tester lead to the yellow wire; then connect the black tester lead to the white wire3The meter must show 0.05-1.0 ohm
! CAUTION
Always disconnect the battery when performing resistance tests to avoid damaging the multimeter
NOTE: If the meter shows other than specified in any resistance test, replace the stator assembly
