RESISTANCE
1Connect the red tester lead to the yellowblue wire; connect the black tester lead to ground2With the shifter in the fourth gear position, the meter must show less than ohmFIFTH GEAR
! CAUTION
Always disconnect the battery when performing resistance tests to avoid damaging the multimeterNOTE: For these tests, the meter selector should be set to the OHMS positionPrimary Winding
1Connect the red tester lead to the greenblue wire; connect the black tester lead to ground2With the shifter in the fifth gear position, the meter must show less than ohmNOTE: If any of the above tests show more than ohm, the switchharness andor the connectors must be replaced
