NOTE: If the meter shows no battery voltage, troubleshoot the battery, fuse, motor, or the main wiring harnessNOTE: If the meter shows battery voltage, the main wiring harness is goodThe connector should be checked for resistanceRESISTANCE (Fan Motor Connector)
Fuse Block
On the 250300 cc, the fuses are located in the center of the front fender beneath snap-on coverOn the 400500 cc, the fuses are located near the right side of the air-intake snorkelNOTE: If all voltage is lost at the fuse block, check the condition of the fusesNOTE: The ignition switch must be in the LIGHTS position
! CAUTION
Always disconnect the battery when performing resistance tests to avoid damaging the multimeter
1Set the meter selector to the OHMS position2Connect the red tester lead to the blue wire; then connect the black tester lead to the black wireFig5-10

1Remove all fuses from the fuse box2Set the meter selector to the D.CVoltage position3Connect the black tester lead to ground4Using the red tester lead, contact each end of the fuse holder connector terminals individuallyFig5-11
