4Remove the oil filter plug from the filter mounting boss (located on the front-right side of the transmission case) and allow the filter to drain completely5Using the Oil Filter Wrench (pn 0444-042) and ratchet handle (or socket or box-end wrench), remove the old oil filterNOTE: Clean up any excess oil after removing the filter

Automatic Transmission

6Apply oil to the O-ring and check to make sure it is positioned correctly; then install the new oil filterTighten securelyNOTE: Install new O-ring each time the filter is replaced
